I noticed that one of my CWTs has doubling on the Obverse and Reverse. Are These more collectable and should I have it graded?

The CWT series runs rampant with errors of all kinds. That aspect's long been appealing to me. Doubling, recut dies and the like tend to be far less valued than so-called "errors" that were struck for nineteenth century collectors; for example, the CWT over-strikes on U.S. cents and dimes. A collector can today assemble a mini-set of CWT errors at quite a reasonable expense, given that there's so often not much of a premium, if any, for minor errors. Yet, sellers often "romance" such error tokens in an effort to boost sales. There are some error CWT's for which collectors would be willing to pay a premium IF a specimen that was devoid of a common error!

IMHO, the value of this Ricke token would not be enhanced by a slab. Enjoy the hunt ...
