Is this PMD on the rim or an error? Also take a look at the mint mark. Can anyone help me distinguish these possible errors? Thanks in advance.

The rim is simply damage, in my opinion. The mintmark looks odd, but the mintmark isn't magnified enough for me to say if it is a Cud, broken punch or post mint damage.
The coin looks circulated, so it is hard to determine when these things can occur.

Mintmark looks like the post broke off the die which is common. Closer pictures would help. A Cud must be on the rim of the coin so there cannot be a Cud on the mint mark. It is caused by a part of the die breaking off. There is also such a gas a Retained Cud where the die is broke but the piece hasn't fallen off yet.

I believe this coin just has PMD on the rim and a small post that broke off of the M/M filling it. Spendable IMO

I also have a strange looking D mint mark and am curious to know if it is a mint error. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
