philadelphian Pillar of the Community United States 3253 Posts	Posted 09/30/2013 4:03 pm The first coin depicts a seated bishop, wearing his mitre, with crosier in his right hand, and either a book or large stylized key in his left. The reverse shows a church or other ecclesiastical edifice. This looks like the style of the episcopal coinage of medieval German bishoprics.
