Given that it is from New Orleans an XF might apply but I'd call it VF30 or VF-35. [I'm conservative, and New Orleans' coins are poorly struck.] Yes, the surfaces are questionable. But, if you plan to get a few more halves you have a great benchmark to use. The 'LIBERTY' is especially nice.
