Sitting at my kitchen table with a friend in his 70's. He was thrilled to have finally (after many years of collection)finished off his date sets. He bought 2 better date Victoria 50 cent coins. Paid 6K for 10K value. He was so excited he called and came in to show me. I noticed something wrong. I then realized they were fake. He actually cried at my house. That started the fight....and people told me and others that we could not make a differance........thru the woodlands, through the valley... Gordon Lightfoot lyrics LOL where are those windmills anyways.

This fake has been hoisted on it's own sword!
Maintaining a good collection of fakes provides oneself a good education on how to identify them.
Even more important if you are collecting ancient coins.
Just make perfectly sure that what is sold to you has already been identified as a fake.
Most of the items in my 'black' collection have come from open public auction.

That is so sad. Like many others,,,,I am again grateful for what you are doing to not only help protect and educate us now, but for future generations of coin collectors. Whenever I see someone post a fake coin on this site to warn people, I think the majority don't even know its fake. If it wasn't for the education slowly filtering out into the public eye, more people would get duped. I'm sure you have helped lots of people save lots of money.
