earlier this week I posted a coin which I believe is listed as 1DR-023 at coppercoins. I din't get any conclusive opinions, however I just found a second coin (from the same box), which I believe is the same DDR, (i still believe they are the 023). neither coin has matching die marker listed, but the second coin has what I believe is the earlier stage of the "hornets nest" die break at the top of the first memorial bay. I believe both coins show a die crack just to the right of the firts column, in the area of the increasingly larger die chip. opinions are appreciated.

They may be the same height, but they are not the same width. So they are probably from different dies. I've backed up on these. I've got about 5 rolls to sort through.

i certainly respect your observation. I might try to take a couple more images of the doubled column, and try to get the exact same angle.

what about the die chip which seems to be forming in the first bay? the similarities there seem correct.

Something I just figured out with the coppercoins site. When you use the "CTRL" and the plus sign you can enlarge the images (or minus to reduce) and make the image on coppercoins the same size as your image. On these DDR's it is handy as it makes the bar the same size as the image you have. That helps with the Width/height/strength issues that have a smaller/larger image affect the size and strength issues.
