A warning has been announced regarding Faked Adams Double Edge Lettering, Faked Adams Smooth Edge Lettering, Faked "sintered" & "unburnished" Adams and Washington Dollars.

I just noticed that, suddenly, some Adams Double Edge Lettering Dollars & newly appearing Adams Smooth Edge Lettering Dollars going for very cheap on ebay. Not to say that they're the fake ones, but they're being sold by sellers with no feedback & very inexpensively. Buyer Beware!

I was one of the original sellers of these dollars on ebay. Found a few here in SE Michigan. I actually had one guy from New Jersey threaten to call the FBI on me for selling fake coins since he drove here and bought $500.00 worth, searched them and didnt find anything. $500.00 wow.. I went through over 100 grand looking for these goofey things. Found Doubles and Smooth Edge both. The doubles are going to end up where the Washington Smooths are at now. Seem to be a good many of them. The Adams smoothies are another story. I think that they are going to be up there in price for some time to come. I know how many I found of each and how many I searched.
