I found this 1994 Lincoln Cent today and it looks like he has three chins and noses. Plus it looks like it is doubled on the back of his head by where his hair line is. The 4 in 1994 looks a little messy. The rest of the lettering is fine on the obverse and the reverse looks perfectly normal. Any ideas what could have caused this? I am a new collector and any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like during the strike, the plating split. When air gets to the zinc, it raises and later falls in as the zinc continues to rot. Not a good thing to happen to a Zincoln.

I have no idea why my last post was posted more than once. Quite odd.

Sometimes the site takes longer to load and we get impatient. I've done it myself. Not a lynching offense. LOL
