Ok I just got this coin in particular and noticed that it has the lettered edge which is awesome because to be honest I didn't know they even did that but I'm looking more into them and varieties and just trying to fig out differences in the overton # . I'm trying to find out if my coin is more rare or less rare for a 1824 . She isn't in the best shape but she still is pretty lol.

I agree, I love the old edge lettering on these coins and there can be some great errors with them. However, the edge lettering is not a determining factor on Overton numbers. I would love to take a crack at getting the Overton for your coin, but my eyes aren't good enough to see the details on those small pictures.

If you could provide some larger ones of the obverse and reverse it would be great!

tweak - they're all pretty, some just more than others. If you like the Capped Bust Halfs you've got to check out this thread. 15 pages of "pretties".

It's almost 2 years old but with any luck Moe will resurrect it soon as " Capped Bust half dollars version 3.0".
