Another Royal Mint boo-boo. About 80,000 of the more famous New Zealand Bahama Islands 2 cent mule coins were issued into circulation. The mistake was discovered not long after all of them were issued.
It seems that this die pair for the Five Cents may have also had something like 80,000 struck and released into circulation. Since they were issued so long ago, it may take rather more time to guess at how many of them are still left.
