You should be able to have both for less than $15 combined. Not sure why one would be preferable to the other. The Premier Silver sets are a different thing; the 1995 is a pretty low mintage and worth a long-term look.

What price and condition? Do they have the two piece case and envelope? Is the felt starting to fall into the coin areas? is the envelope falling apart or does it have a lot of white showing? I found a lot of the older sets had damage, especially to the penny. On the other hand, some of the coins, particularly the nickel on older sets, are beginning to tone nicely.

Neither. I used to collect Proof sets and would send for them every year. I still do but use them for Christmas gifts. their value is really the pits. So few are worth the space they take up. If I knew how to use ebay, I'd put up all of mine.

I would buy a 1995 silver proof set. But you could buy both the 1985 & 1995 clad proof sets for the price of the silver proof set.

It is my recommendation to buy silver coins when ever possible.

I would buy the 1985 one. But I am no longer buying proofs because they are never worth anything.

Should have bought the 1995 set back in 95 and then sold it around 2000 when they were bringing $150 a set. Now they are around $7 or $8 a set.
