Any thoughts on grade? I think these are pretty rare in higher grade.

The Swiss are very hard on grading their own coins, this one perhaps good VF, and would have a value of 10 euros or so.
400,000 of them were struck.

ref.: Munzenkatalog.ch Catalogue des monnaies (2009).- Zurich.

I would have preferred to grade it good EF, maybe AU50 Sheldon. In that grade, it would have been valued at six times as much.

I don't see an AU here, for sure, or even an XF, and I'm not Swiss. I don't even live in Switzerland anymore!

I say VF.

I think it would grade AU-50, there's not enough wear for a VF.

I would agree with VF--I see some flattening on high points.

I think I agree with a strong VF, maybe a 30. Good details with some wear. The surface has no luster, and I would expect a better surface quality in the fields for an XF.

I paid $4.50 for it, all in all not a bad deal I guess.
