I've posted this before, but now I want to put it on ebay. Apparently it has a big lamination error.

I'm confident that the date could be determined with strong lighting and very good magnification, because the top half is still barely visible, but let's assume it's dateless: what do you think it's worth?

I'd just put it up at my original buy price, then wait and see where it gets bid up to (no reserve).

I'm not convinced that it's a lamination error.

To me, I wouldn't bid or buy it because of the back.

It might be worth 1.25 to 3.00 dollars.

IMHO, if this is a lamination, I seriously doubt that specialists would regard it as a major error. Then too, this coin is so well worn that early damage could have been inflicted, prior to the coin seeing much circulation. I'd suggest that it be shown to a few error specialists at coin shows to see if the evaluations are consistent. Meanwhile, perhaps a few error guys will chime in on CCF ...
