I acquired this token/medal in a small collection I purchased. Obviously, it is some sort of National Archive token, but I can't seem to find any references or information on it. I do not think it is real old, and I suspect that it might be a souvenir sold at the National Archive. It is also a high quality die pressed medal and the surfaces are close to proof-like, thus I suspect that it is mint produced. Diameter is 1 9/16 inches.

Does anybody know when it was made and by who?

Sure looks like all the other souvenir types from the federal parks and attractions. And there are private mints that do make them.
