Checking out some 65 sets I have, trying to familiarize myself with the different varieties of the dollar. Would I be correct in saying that I have an example here of a blunt 5 and a pointed 5? I always thought the pointed 5's were, well, pointier...

The bottom 5 is pointier on the bottom, the difference shows up well in your pics.
Which one is rarer? The bead variety and the grade must be considered in conjunction with the five to determine value.Full pics of both sides required.

I notice as well the blunt 5 variety is actually pointed at the spot where the vertical line of the 5 meets the arc, whereas the pointed 5 is truncated at this spot. Interesting. Another way to tell I guess. They are both small beads on the obverse, and still sealed in mint sets, but they do somehow still manage to get scratches and dings on them sometimes regardless of being still in the cellophane.
