I've been penny roll hunting for 2 years and I've never found an Indian Head cent. The oldest find for me is a 1917. How many IHPs have you found. If so, what was the date, and what year did you find it. Just post bank wrapped or ordinary customer rolls please. No mother lodes or collection dumps!

Not exactly hunting. But, working a register about 15 years ago an older lady partially paid with two full rolls.

1, a holed 1905. been searching about a year found around febuary, the last 5 months though I've slowed down a lot and been more casually searching. I was so happy when I found it. it was in a strings and sons wrapper I believe.

Out of a few dozen bank boxes, only one and it was so worn it didn't even grade as a legitimate G.

My first and only Indian Head cent was a 1905 and it came from my 11th box of pennies that I had ever gotten. I was 40 rolls into the box and not a single wheat head to that point. On top of that, below average copper, and I mean none of the rolls had more than 10. Most rolls had 6 coppers each. It sparked my mood up and only a few rolls into my 12th box, I plucked a 1941-S out. Hole filler and pretty low mintage. Besides that, my oldest have been: 1917 1918 x2 1918-D

Beginners luck allowed me to find an 1895 IHC in the 4th box I ever searched back in April 2011. In addition ... it was an unusual coin in that someone way back in the day clipped the planchet post-mint. You can read my thread on the coin here: https://goccf.com/t/87448I'm now at over 23 boxes of cents searched and have not found another IHC. David
