I am unable to trace the origins of this coin and I was hoping that someone out there might be able to put me on the right track, please? By way of some help, there is a date and it would appear to end in a '9'.

I believe it's an Ardite from Spain. Should be dated 1612-1618

I do thank-you DCH for your assistance.
I have spent a long time researching these coins without success, so I am indebted to you for your help.

Ardite or Seiseno. It depends on your measure in millimeters.
