I have another question. I have tried looking this up but can't find anything on it. I have a 1957 Wheat penny that has an extra stem on the left wheat stock on reverse. What would this be classified as?

Interesting. Looks like a die break (as opposed to just a crack - there's metal actually missing) and it's surrounded by the obvious polishing lines the Mint imparted, trying to clean up the die.

Well it is not a clash. There is nothing in that area that could have made a clash.

It must have been a gouge they were trying to remove? I tried to move the overlay around a bit, but nothing matched as in the case of a MAD clash. Thanks for posting this though. Maybe other examples will be found in the future? I would keep it safe for now.

My first thought is a die gouge.

Wish we had some microscope pictures to view. This is so regular it looks more like it's die induced than a die crack or break.

This is the closest picture I could get. Sorry, do not have a microscope.

I recently found one one ebay. Here is the link. The picture they show isn't quite clear but you can see where the extra stem is. What do you think?
