Talk about "creative metallurgy! I'd love to see what some people would put in coins to keep them under 1 cent and 5 cents to make.

Remember all those heavy metals laying around causing pollution; I'm sure someone would figure out how to clean up all the Superfund sites and put that stuff in coinage. They'll look great, but using them causes cancer.

You'd have to be buried with your collection to protect other collectors.

That is probably what China is doing with all the fake silver coins right now, with their mystery metal they make them out of.

Not necesssarily the cost of the metal. Think about how much all the government employees make, the cost of their cars, drivers, body guards, intertainment and on and on and on. If China can make our coins cheaper than us, why not oursourse all our monitary systems to China. They already have many of the moulds.
