Hello,

I'm a new collector on this site and have been collecting US coins for about a year (not including my childhood). Anyway, I've learned a lot here and thought I would skip on over to this forum to see if I could get some advice.

I was reading an article in Coin Week about world coins (about which I know nothing). The section on Peruvian coins (specifically dineros) caught my eye. Here's the article if interested.

So, I went on over to ebay to see what might be available. This coin caught my attention.

There seem to be some really cool ones, including sols, pesetas and reales(sp?)

Are there any good online resources about silver Peruvian coins? Perhaps one of you could direct me some place where I could start learning (before buying) about Peruvian silver from the 1800s and early 1900s. I am really a complete beginner with these coins, so any information would help.

Thanks
