I do like this series of coin. I bought my sister one a couple years ago, it was the nicest example I had ever seen, on par with yours for sure. She doesn't collect coins but has a grey hound and she thoroughly enjoyed the coin. I kind of regret not keeping the coin for myself.

Thanks for the coin compliment, sel, everyone. I was really really happy when I saw the coin in hand. The auction picture showed a coin of nice quality but it didn't do it justice. In the auction pics, the coin has a flatter or more worn look. Must've been the way they lit it, probably to reduce glare from the shiny metal. At first I wondered if someone had cleaned it between the taking of auction photos and sending it to me. (Surely they didn't do that?) In hand, the obverse relief is really incredible. I'm used to seeing very flat or worn Roman Republic coins so this was quite a surprise. I think I did a good job of capturing the in-hand look. This is my best coin photo effort so far. The straight streaks or striations on the obverse must be from the flan manufacturing process rather than cleaning since they form continuous lines with the field and the devices. Here's the auction house picture:
