I picked this one up a few days ago for my 7070 "Copper Memorial" to go along with the "Zinc Memorial" (1995 DDO). What do you think ANACS (old small white holder) had to say about it? Thanks for your interest! Edited by oih82w8 10/20/2013 9:45 pm

Yep Isn't that the focus area though?
Now don't start hating the coin because of what I said.

No hating here, after-all this is why I post these in the CCF to see what others have to say. BTW, normally the fields are the focus area since they are the most obvious.

I can see it being an MS-63.

My 7070 only has one memorial spot... Did Dansco release the updated album?! Or am I missing something here....

The only reason I see you going for a 1960D is a RPM or a large over small date.
Beside the scratches and ding in front of the eye the date area is either and overdate or also dinged up.

Nice observation. The "scratches" behind the head are die marks, they are raised instead of below the surface and another characteristic of this variety of LMC. Here is a link to another coin of the same type which stimulated my interest; http://www.indiancent.com/8555-1960...d-pcgs-.htmlQuote: My 7070 only has one memorial spot... Not really sure. Mostly it appears to still be in the plastic holder. If so, many of the marks may be on the plastic.

I just looked at the slab for scratches in the coin view area, and there are none, surprisingly since it is an older slab...which I will post a little later tonight, after the customary 24 hours.

Is there something going on above the mint mark?

I'm going with ms62 possible 60 over 60 date. Can't get a real good look at that zero though.
