I always struggle grading Peace dollars so I'm interested in what you all think of this 1922-S. It does have loads of luster that I'm not sure the pics picked up on. Thanks!

Nice looking coin. What is with the first "A" in America? Never seen a weak strike that weak.

The 22-S is notorious for weak strikes..
Lot of chatter on the high points of both sides.

Hard to tell from these pics but my first impression is AU 55ish..

AU Peace dollars are very cool though..

Looks MS60, it'll maybe go lower but not likely higher.

This is an otherwise-strong strike, especially for the issue, so I'm thinking the A is a PMD hit which isn't clear in the small images. My gut says it's lightly circulated but I'm not expressing certainty about it given the size of the images.

MS62, but it should bring a better price than the straight grade would suggest, because of the nice lustre, and the fact that it is more sharply struck than most.

Here's a couple of larger pics so hopefully that will help with the grade of this 22-S.

Thanks!

I am leaning more towards MS than AU but I think it would not grade higher than a 62. Too many marks and the spotting is going to limit the grade.
