Hi everyone, I notice the new RCM logo more and more now. Compared to the old one, what does everyone think of it?

Its just so sad that they had a well known brand with their logo on may products and sets, and then they think to change it when it was working perfectly fine!?!

They say the circles should represent the coins in our change, but doesn't that seem a little childish? IMHO, the old one was simpler, easier to recognize, and more professional.

I didn't realize people care about the mint logo. But I am wrong because there are two threads on this topic.

They put out the odd coin with the logo (privy SML, fractional set) so I care from that point of view. New logo =

The new logo looks childish... And the maple leaf design with the small circular coins looks like beer suds. I though it was a Molson Canadian beer logo. I like the old logo better.

I don't care about how their logo looks like.
What I care about are the quality, the design, the price of their coins.

Well, BiBo you have your priorities right. However, a company logo is supposed to represent exactly the things you care about most concerning the RCM.

In my opinion this new logo fails to meet this criteria.

Hi everyone, the coins are the most important aspect. But with that being said, it is a corporate identity. The old logo IMO had a more simple elegant feel to it. More classy looking than the new one. I agree with NuMoosematist, it does fail to meet what the RCM should be conveying!Possibly using the same artwork as what was used on the Maple Leaf Impression coin as a logo would have resulted in more of a Canadian Corporate Identity!

Just another thing to add.... they spent all of that time putting the old logo on their coins since 2003, and poof! Its all gone. Not that anybody really cared about it, but since there was no way to put the new logo on coins, the 2014 lucky loonie is logo-less
