a group of crappy UK small change from the 1700-1800s. Some alright coins but I bought it for the evasion halfpenny (CLAVDIVS ROMANVS) - its a good one.

I like the evasion needle you picked from that haystack! The reverse appears to read DELECTAN DUS; that reverse motto seems to be more commonly paired with a GEORGE RULES obverse, but I think this must have been the originally intended die pairing: Claudius Romanus Delectandus. Any Latin scholars out there?
