I think you meant $40,000, barry. We're talking 1,000 coins, not 100, and you take a substantial discount when you sell in bulk like that.

I would like to ask a Moderator....would it be OK to post a poll on this topic and let the members guess what the final price will be...it could be fun. Just asking as I don't want to violate the "multiple posting rule"

That you were able to throw down a bid when it was up to over $12,000 is impressive. Can I have 5% of your disposable income?

Sure! $200 a month... 5% is $10.

If I bought the lot, it would be purely for resale on the business side of things and I'd have to liquidate some stuff pretty quick to swing it. I could probably push $20k at the max. Wouldn't be enough.

According to the description, there are all BU (so no 1895 proof) and no Carson City coins.

I did indeed! $40,000 for the lot or $40 apiece.

Not sure about the substantial discount in bulk, however. APMEX still has 100-coin bags of these for sale at $4,499 (a single BU Morgan costs $46.99), and even selling 1000 at a time I just can't see the price going much below $40,000. I've been waiting months for the price at APMEX to drop ever since silver prices plummeted, btw, but it just hasn't happened.

Hmmmm...

I just noticed that the seller only accepts major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, Discover). I don't know about you guys, but my card has a limit of "only" $15,000. I don't think AMEX cards have a limit, but I wonder how many people could actually pay for this even if they had the available cash?

I'm assuming the credit card fee would be less than ebay fees, but I'm not sure. That's my guess.

He don't get charged the 4% paypal fee.

But I think he still gets charged like 8% for selling on ebay.
