I look for coins on ebay and it seems the flippers are starting to killing themselves on the market... Except for the superman theme, all the other coins that were release this year seems to be not very profitable with the Paypal and handling fees... I was looking at the new Piedfor complete listing and at 120$ it seems to be easy to get this coin... For flippers, at this price it's almost break-even... I don't know if others people have this same observation... The good news is that for real collector who are not MC, they will have better chance to grab the coins for the retail price, the bad one is for people who invest in coins and believe that they were gonna be rich in the long term... And it's a bad news too for the RCM, their sales volume will drop for lots of release... Just look at the Allegory and 1812, they re-marketing this series and trying to liquidate their inventory of unsold product...

I think your analysis is right, Mlalonde1977!

The market has been flooded with coins from the RCM in recent years, and there appears to be no end in sight. The now monthly releases are just overwhelming for most folks. They eventually become turned off my all the phony marketing hype and decide to keep their hard earned money for other interests.

Your prediction that collectors will be able to scoop up coins they like at near issue prices from flippers who are desperate to break even has already become a realty.

However, some might not see this as "good news".

Frankly, I don't think RCM expecting every coin to sell out. That's not to say they don't try which we witnessing what they are doing with the allegory coins and 1812 coins.

As for flipper loosing out. Experience flippers would understand that not every coin they get is a winner. you loose some, you gain some. Hopefully you gained more than you loose.

I think the market as whole has softened since the drop in spot, I've been able to build my collection up for a while now. Getting coins I've wanted in the past for a more reasonable price. And buying some recent releases I missed for a reasonable price.
