I pulled this out of a John Adams roll. I think it's an interesting piece that I'd like to keep but going to try and make a quick buck out of it. I just wanted to share this finding I don't know if this is what they all sintered or struck through.

As to your question, I would lean toward sintered but I'm pretty new so don't go by my word. Very cool find!!

Not sure if it was sintered or just has wash residue on it, but it did miss the planchet burnishing step prior to minting.

I've found 6 more of these now, I am tempted to touching the surface to see if it comes off or not
