I don't know the first thing about metal detecting, but seeing other people's finds on here, I'd say you have an extreme case of beginner's luck. Congratulations none the less! Nice finds!

Iwould say to clean by putting a liberal ammount of olive oil on both sides of coin..I use a small sort of a paint brush (Like a beaver hair shave brush)that I dip in the olive oil them move from center to outside of coin... After a few days I wipe off with a white cleaning rag (Not a J-cloth but not a paper towel). The rag gets dirty, The coin can proably only come clean if yu rub (Scratch) in a circle motion,, On yu coins will hav to reapply and wipe again next day,, a few times or will not be that clean....I am going to say it bluntly here, that yu coins are dirty and will need to be scratched (Rubbed)to be presentable to prospective lookers....Yu ground coins are not MS_coins, probably well circ, well rubbed with human hands over many years, so cannot get around yu treating them roughly by some peoples standard.....What are yu options? have persons look at them with a cake of dirt on them?I think not...I say better to see the field,,,....Eventually yu will wrap coins in 2x2 white Holders,, those buyers of same coin in 100 years will thank yu for yu olive oil..(Experts say it is natural)......
