Hello every one.

Collecting or dealing.

Like you all no I am new to this hobby, I would like to here your opinion. I like the historical about collecting notes I think that when I have a 120 years old note in my hand its just wau.....

But at the same time the more I get into this, I kind of like the greading and of course the value of notes to.

In my life I have the opertunity to buy a littel notes from my budget monthly, but the more I get into it, I just find more and more cooler notes and it seems like there is no limit when it comes to value of notes for sale.

I use alot of time looking for lots for sale, and some times I win at the auction.

my question is...I would like to go to some conventions for notes I no that there is one moneyfair in Holland ones a year, what do you guys do? just the internet or are there some kind of get togheter other places to.

How does it work at this events can you just trade or are their strikt rules.

I really dont like the ebay thing and I think they charge to much..

So until my 250 message here on the forum is done I will bild up my collection.

Hope to hear your opinion.

regards

Pretty much every uses ebay, sometimes you can get them for cheaper there, but not always. Dealers always seem to put a bit of a premium on it (which is fair enough) but as a person with a minuscule budget I need to save as much as I can.

There is indeed a major paper money show in the Netherlands - twice a year, in Valkenburg near Maastricht: http://www.papermoney-maastricht.nl.../category/17 The next one will be in mid-April, and I think the spring show is bigger than the fall show. The website is a little unwieldy in my opinion :) but go through it, you will find pretty much everything you want to know about the show.

I do not use ebay, but then again I focus on coins. These two "sister sites" where various sellers offer coins but also paper money could be interesting for you too: http://www.ma-shops.com/ (fixed prices) or http://www.muenzauktion.com/ (auctions). You may want to play with the lnaguage and currency settings ...
