I bought this coin on ebay. Was wondering what it would grade and a middle of the road value for trading. Thanks in advance.

Grade, dont know. Value, no idea. But we have seen one of these here before - that bust is very interesting. You spot any more flittering about, I know somewhere that can provide a good home!

Grade is around EF.

It is a silver dramma of the Gurjaras - Pratiharas, 6th to 11th centuries. Weight should be 3.5 to 4 grams.
THey ruled an area of northern and north western India.
ref. Deyell 156-9.
Obv.: Sylized head right,
Rev.: stylized fire altar.

The coins that provided the design inspiration for these came from the Sassanian silver drams.

Google search 'Coin India', they may have a value guide of what they sell similar pieces for.
VCOINS may also be of help, value wise.

First image is upside down. The second image is almost right just turn it about 20 degrees clockwise.

Thanks all. Now for the big question. What would be a good trade value for it?

In my opinion these are fascinating coins, but most people do not. If it were a Roman silver coin it would certainly be worth more. The Ancient Indian coin market seems to be coming into its own in the last couple of years but they still not have the same collector base as the European coins. I would say a $20 bill would do it. I would honestly say hold on to it. Most of the coins are in such good condition worthy of any collection for sure.
