I have been trying to see how far back I can go with ut missing a year. It is getting harder. And unless I can do some more digging, this might be all I have for today.

For 1874, a Belgian silver 5 francs coin. These coins have been minted from 1865 till 1876, but the first two years are exceptionally rare.

Belgian 2 centimes of 1873. No posting during about 10 hours... we will need some more posters with a keen interest for 19th century coinage and before.

With over 22 million coins minted, the 1873 Belgian 5 Francs is the most common one around. During that year, the edge writing was tuned, using a less dense lettering. The edge reads "Dieu protège la Belgique". So with A and B oriented edge lettering, there are 4 variations around.
