A question: "Shall we allow the 1780X MTT restrikes on this thread?". They do carry the date 1780, but most of them date from the 20th century. There's a very decent thread on MTT's in the world coin section:

To be posted in they year being celebrated by this thread, the coin must be struck (or believed to be struck) in the year indicated or as determined by other factors.

That is, I feel that those restrikes would have been okay to post during the day which celebrated the year taht they were (believed to be) restruck.
