15 kreuzer of Salzburg, ruler Johann Ernst. this is a one year type and I quite like it, albeit not as much as the regular issues. interesting how the numbers of the year are set on 4 sides of the diamond   |

Thanks, Medieval, for the info. sg93, that is a lovely specimen! Definitely on my 'search for' list. The quality and variety of coins appearing in this thread is a continuing delight. @mysilveryears thanks! I'm hoping to get one of those Salzburg thalers myself. I think my the 15 kreuzer coins come up on ebay some times, it definitely isn't difficult to come by. |

Scotland coins! I have been searching half my life to get one that is reasonable in price. Most of the Scottish coins are rather very expensive!

Might have to dig my 1693 2 Pence Scots = Bodle = Turner up  Not as pretty as the above 1694 one, but still. This happened to be one of those "right place at the right time" kind of purchases. The seller had a lot of Scottish coins and I picked up a few. I also have the 1695 and 1696 turners, and a couple of bawbees. I've always been fascinated with the Scottish coins, probably because I have a little bit of Scottish ancestry. |
