1994 Weird Chins - Coin Community Forum

Snooderpuff Valued Member United States 126 Posts	Posted 10/31/2013 12:08 am I can't remember if I posted this one or not. Anyway, here it is again if I did. I have a 1994 Penny that looks like Lincoln has 3 chins, 2 copper ones and one silver one. It extends all the way up to his nose. Also, he has an area behind his head where you can see hair. His beard by his ear also looks odd and he has something under below his ear. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

In other words "zinc rot". It happens quite often, and doesn't add any value to the coin. Dave Report this Post to the Staff

The third chin/earlobe is split copper plating. The mark in the beard is a contact mark. The mark on the back of the neck looks interesting. Report this Post to the Staff
