Hi guys,

I found this coin on the internet but before I'm going to bid I need to be sure its genuine.

Its a tetradrachm of +/- 30mm of Eucratides I of Bactria.

I dont know whether its fake or genuine, looks a little bit casted to me..

thanks!

Use this opportunity to learn. See the tiny pits on the horses and everywhere else? Those are casting pits (which are not to be confused with corrosion pits, which can be somewhat similar). See the softness of the details (like a bar of soap that has had its impressions rounded)? There are many much-more-deceptive cast fakes in which those signs are far less evident. This one screams "Fake!"

Regarding the difference between casting pits and corrosion pits: you will see such pitting on copper, bronze and Bactrian cupronickel coins, but very, very rarely on silver. This is supposed to be a silver coin.
