The no-s dime was a proof issue. At the time the Philadelphia mint was also coining dimes without a mintmark, but these are business strike issues. So, if you have a proof 1968 dime, with no s mintmark, you have a rare 1968 no-s dime.

Edit - The dime in the picture is not a proof, was not minted in San Francisco, and thus is not a no-s dime.

This is the third time you've asked. Don't like the answers? They're not going to change. Only valuable no S dime is a proof dime from a proof set. Check the glossary on the left to read about what makes a proof, but in general, you need to be looking in proof sets, not loose coins. Yes, some proof sets were broken up, but a proof is still usually pretty distinct.

A 68-s no s dime will only show up in an undamaged proof set or in a slab stating what it is. They did not enter circulation and will not show up in rolls. If you are bent on not believing what everyone is telling you then spend the money and send that worn out 1968-P dime to PCGS and get it slabbed.

Maybe we're to unclear. Hey ! your dime is worth... 10 cents.
This dime has damage because its been handled since 1968

Actually there is an "S" on it, Roosevelt is borrowing it for the moment, or Trust is.
