I will be thankful if anyone could help me to identify this token.

t is very small (8mm or 1/3 inches) and seems to be contemporary to the late 19th century.

Possibly a digital photo will give a better perspective than scan:

Is this one so usual, that answer is so obvious (so nobody want to reply) or it is so unusual that nobody knows anything?

I will be helpful for any hint...

it is really small (8mm or 1/3 inches)... and looks really old.

On the front side is Indian head and year 1877 + 13 stars (6+7), and on the back side US Capitol Building and the "value" - ONE PENNY.

Likely some sort of spiel marke, jeton, counter or play money. Definitely not a coin.

Thanks! I didn't mean that it is a real coin, I knew that is a token (I have specified that in the title).

But, I thought that possibly somehow could be identified it's origin... it is really old.

There were so many of these in so many designs. Seems like it would be pure luck to find any specifics.
