I picked this 1883-S up today at a coin shop...... the toning is a lot better than the pics show. Is this at least AU-50? (I paid $150).

The second set of pictures show the toning more accurately.

I would go AU-50 for the whole coin. Is there some doubling on the "S" in PLURIBUS or is that shadow from the toning?

Yes, it looks as if most of the letters in PLURIBUS are slightly doubled. Also, look at the forehead, nose and eye, cotton leaves, top of hat, and reeding around 4 o'clock. Also, looks like a possible die-break through the B and R in LIBERTY. What do you guys think?
