I want to know if the 2012 dime is composed of: 92.0% steel , 5.5% copper and 2.5% nickel plating why this seller indicate that is 0.9999 silver?

I think there was a 2012 silver proof set made around the time of the war of 1812 coins releases, this dime maybe from this set?

Yes, the frosting indicates it's from a proof set. In 2012 there was both a pure nickel proof set (except the silver dollar) and a pure silver proof set issued).

Is there any way to tell the silver proof from the nickel proof without having them both in hand?

it looks like the silver version, however the self grading is against ebay rules.

It is from ASYN, who notoriously over grades, so don't expect a 67. I have bought silver proof from him before, never been concerned about silver vs. nickle being mixed up, but the grading is high and will likely have a fingerprint or two on coin. The scans often look worse than the coin actually is.

This 2012 dime is the dime from the Premium Proof Set. All coins in this set were struck in fine silver including the Loonie.
