I find the contest interesting. Krause generates some buzz and there are many articles written leading up to the actual selection of the winners.

Every year I search for a set of images of the nominated coins but all I find is a written list. I have never found a complete set of pictures yet.

Wouldn't the event generate much more excitement if we could actually see all the contenders in one place somewhere? Maybe they are pictured in a print publication I don't subscribe to?

Here and Here are most of them.

Some images of obscure coins are hard to find. Are you sure you're not just gloating because Canada had 8 nominations ?

Thanks for the links denco7!

I'm still surprised that there is no official Krause site with the images. It's good to know other collectors are taking on the task.

As for the Canadian nominations, there are some good Canadian coins being minted but the Royal Canadian Mint has a shotgun approach -- there are hundreds of Canadian NCLT coins being released every year. It's actually embarrassing to me as a Canadian. For example, the list of Canadian 2013 coins is here: https://goccf.com/t/161645

Keep in mind that the coins which Krause picks for its award(s) are depicted in catalogs - also online - that Krause sells. ;) So they will publish a list of the nominated pieces http://www.numismaster.com/ta/numis...icleId=27317 along with the KM numbers. It is your job to look them up, hehe.
