So entries must three coins and we will be voting for the triple as one thing, not as individual coins, right? This will be hard to enter.
I notice the host did not show us an example, as is usually done. Even he finds it hard to create an entry!

Contests like this make me realize how completely unorganized I am. I will look closely for entries on Thursday, perhaps sooner if I have time :)

I'm going for something a bit later - and I'm sorry both for the poor quality of the photo and the condition of the coins themselves!

I'm flying the flag for the Fifteenth Century! I love the architecture from this period - the beautiful village churches, old pubs and half-timbered houses that are still so common in England. It was the century that brought printing - and Columbus's voyage to the New World! And it saw the evolution of the modern English language - compare a poem by Chaucer with one by John Skelton and you'll see what I mean...

Here are three 15th-century coins, all struck in mainland Europe - two in France, although one of them is not a French coin!

Henry VI groat - Calais mint

Denier of Philippe Le Bon, Duke of Burgundy(1419 - 1467)

Half-Real of the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain, Seville Mint - this coin is badly clipped and bent, but I am very proud of it as I found it with my metal detector (in a field in Kent, England)!
