Detectives with the Eagan, Minnesota Police Department are investigating a burglary which resulted in the theft of over $100,000 in coins. The suspects gained entry into the business and forced open a safe which contained a large amount of graded coins, gold and silver.

Below is a partial list of stolen property;

I guess if serial numbers are known on the graded coins stolen they would surface over time. Guess the question for my friends that are coins dealers is do you keep records of all graded coins in your inventory to safeguard against crooks like this?

There have been a lot of big rip offs up here in the Mpls/StPaul metro area in the last half year or so. Dealers and collectors are well aware of the problem. Thanks for another heads up Bobby.

wow that's crazy I haven't even heard of that... I live in St Paul and actually work for the company that does the towing/recovery for the Eagan Police Department, State Patrol,Airport PD etc...
