Surprised no has talked about the theft of Christopher Lunt's safe.

The news hit last week around New Years in Australia in an article entitled "Corporal Christopher Lunt loses life savings after thieves steal gold bullion from safe".

Interesting quotes from the article:

`They had just peeled open my safe. I had $200,000 in silver and gold.''

"The thieves tore a side door off its hinges to enter the house and managed to pry open the safe, which was bolted to the floor".

"Corporal Lunt said he never mentioned to anyone that he had a safe but he did use an internet forum to do trades".

I just couldn't believe they had their life savings all in one place and nothing insured. Just a sad story.

I'd say from that statement he saved a lot of money on a Chinese built safe, should have gone old school or something a lot stronger.

My safe is hidden under a simple corrugated cardboard box.
So, if the cupboard door is open, all that is seen is a rather innocuous cardboard box sitting on the floor.

Costs nothing for this sort of deception.

The spare key is hidden in an area where you don't wanna be. There are lots of funnel web spiders nearby. I have learned to be careful.
