Hello everyone! Although I've done some research online I'm still not able to figure out what type of mint error(s) my dime has. Since I'm an amateur collector it has gotten confusing...some images of mint errors look close but then other images, not so much. Any ideas or help any of you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance ~ KimJ

Hello Kim and to CCF

Acronyms are rampant around here by the way.
PMD stands for Post Mint Damage.
Maybe you already knew that but just wanted to add.
If not, then the term is used to describe any alteration
to a coin after it is minted and did not happen during the minting process. This coin is interesting and you may want
to stick around and get a few more opinions on it. The surface/finish on the coin does not look right to me to begin with. Maybe a shot of the reverse could be more helpful also. May be just that ( PMD) maybe more.

Am am no expert, and depends on what the reverse looks like but this MIGHT be a marriage of an off center planchet with a capped die...two coins in one. To make this determination will require an image of the reverse.

Thank you for your input- I'm excited to learn anything I can, including the acronyms. I'm definitely going to get some other pics taken & uploaded this morning. Around most of the edge the copper colored insides are visible & the normal edging on coins is there in places but it doesn't connect front of the coin to the back. I'll be back after my coffee!
