Collector-Corner Pillar of the Community 872 Posts	Posted 11/16/2013 04:16 am its more than likely die damage. The coin was struck too hard and leaves an imprint of the damage on the base of the coin, which is FLAT and does ADD to the letters and number size or thickness. The pictures are very difficult to tell if that's what it is, but I am thinking I see that damage on the WE. If so, this is far from a DDO, more like a soon to be rotten zinc cent.
