I was wondering about authenticity of this coin..
And if it is not counterfait it seems to be a nice grade.
What you think about?

The die crack on the reverse leads me to believe it is authentic. I'd call it AU, possibly details - cleaned.

I think it's genuine, but I could very well be wrong.

If real, I'd say AU details, as it was surely cleaned.

with both, I'm inclined to think its the real deal. Nothing stands out as odd and as Dave the die crack leads me to further think it's legit.

Most definitely cleaned at somepoint.. But most coins from this era have been so that really wouldn't bother me. I'd say its right around AU-50 +/-

Beautiful coin!

That is a known die crack on 1846; a little research will net you images of similar examples. Makes me think it's authentic; a die crack of this magnitude is not easy to counterfeit. Quite the nice little coin you've got there.

Call it AU Details due to the cleaning, prices for these are all over the place but certainly a US$500+ coin. It would be a tough sell, though, as original-surfaces examples are not uncommon.
