This is either a double or triple die. Not sure. Found it in the car also. The die error is in the 5 of 1995 just like the other one. This one is more pronounced.

If you can't see a clear picture on your computer, try right clicking on the .jpg file and Save Target As, and save it to your hard drive in some folder you choose. Then go to your jpeg image viewer(I use Microsoft Photo Editor) and File, Open, and go to the folder you saved it in, and open it up. You can magnify it to 200 or 400 percent is what I use.

Magnifying (enlarging) a picture taken at the wrong angle does not help.

Honestabe, I don't see any rude or pompous statements made in this thread. How have you been offended?

I would like to see a picture of the Lincoln Cent that you posted at a straight-on angle, though, to truly determine if you have a DDO cent. We are here to help.

Sorry your picture is taken from the wrong angle,, if the doubling only shows up from an angle it is not die doubling which is very obvious from any angle on the coin .

the doubling your seeing on the date is caused by either die fatigue or a plating tear both are a very common occurance on the lincoln cents and have no value above face of the coin.

the only DD for the 1995-D that I'm aware of is a minor doubled die of the ear .

There are three or four known doubled die obverses for the 1995D cent. One is a very nice one that shows in the motto, another toward the center of the design, and at least two minor ones.

Just because a coin has doubling on it, though, does not make it a doubled die.
