Nice coin at a nice price. Too bad that I can't take advantage of this since I live in the states. Tried to purchase but wouldn't let me complete the checkout. :(

it will come with a clam shell case, I have not seen anyone sell the coins without a case except for direct subscribers from the mint..

You're right, retailers can decide to set the prices they like. But, they must do so within the realities of their cost. How could the CP sell it for that price if they didn't receive a wholesale price allowing a $40 retail? "will retail (unless we give a special discount to CP to help bail them out of another loss) for $54.95 for those who do not subscribe!" |

Ya CP email saying shipped as well, only thing is, now that I have one will I have to get the set too lol..ugh Well maybe it will be a side project to try and get the rest here and there below issue..I just cant swing getting the whole set right now.

You can be sure that CP knows what they're doing, if they're selling at this price, means they are having a profit. As CP has bought all the coins of the series, they receive it at $34,95 (subscription price) less the discount as a dealer (10%, 15% whatever). PD: I've just received an email from CP, the coins are on the way!  |

I'm not sure why some people are suspicious of this pricing from CP. As was already stated earlier, we do not know what CP paid for these coins and they acknowledge, on their website, the price difference (which was also stated earlier).  I think we should worry less about WHY this is happening, and just take advantage of it while it IS. This is a heck of a deal for non-subscribers. I may need to pick a few extra up - Christmas is coming and I can think of one or two people who would appreciate such a present as this! |

canada post got their coins in a subscription type deal, but they were all to be in clamshells.
