This obverse displays a bisecting die crack from the top rim proceeding down through Liberty's cap, the E in the headband, ear and lower curls, passing through the field to the left side of 6 in the date, and finally terminating in the bottom rim. This is the second and final use of obverse 1.
The coin also possesses the first use of reverse FF (the second use on 1835 LM-11 and the third and final use of this reverse die is used on 1836 LM-4). The left, upright side of R in AMERICA has been re cut and the stems to berries are intact and have not yet been lapped away.
Here is a better pic. It is definitely not a flattering view for the little lady. In hand, the die crack draws the attention away from the gashes in the fields. Still, one of my favorites. I dug this up...one the very first True Views.
